MUSUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
SEGAR Aviation provided specialized aeronautical obstacle analysis and chart production services for the redevelopment of Mosul International Airport, Iraq.
The scope of work included the preparation of ICAO-compliant Aerodrome Obstacle Charts Type-A and Type-B, together with a comprehensive Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) assessment for the airport environment.
The Type-A charts were developed to support aircraft take-off performance calculations by identifying and analysing obstacles within the take-off flight path areas. The Type-B charts provide a detailed overview of terrain and obstacles surrounding the aerodrome, supporting safe flight operations and contingency planning.
In addition, SEGAR Aviation conducted a full 3D modelling and analysis of ICAO Annex-14 Obstacle Limitation Surfaces, identifying potential penetrations and ensuring compliance with international airport safety standards.
These studies support the safe reopening and long-term operational safety of Mosul International Airport.
