The strong development of wind energy leads to more and more wind turbines near existing aerodromes.Wind turbines can represent a serious obstacle for aircraft and also lead to adverse effects to air traffic control equipment (e.g. reflection, distortion).

Hundreds of renewable energy projects worldwide are stopped or constrained due to aeronautical reasons.
